Jake is 5 months old! Time is flying by. Things are the same around here. Josh will finish his second semester of school in May and has an internship for the summer. I am still working and Jake is still going to school (daycare).
Here are two pictures...the first was taken February 15th and the second was taken April 18th. Just wanted to show you how much he has grown (or filled out)...

Jake had his four month checkup at the end of March and he was 25 inches long and 14 pounds. He is in the 50th percentile for both weight and height. We also got the ok to start cereal and solids. He likes the cereal, but loves the vegetables. He has had squash and carrots. Green beans will be next. He eats two jars (plastic containers...whatever you want to call them) every night.
Cereal is Yummy!
I love my veggies!
Jake went to see the Easter Bunny and wasn't even scared...I know, he is still young....hopefully it will be the same next year.

We went to Baton Rouge for the Easter weekend. We left Friday evening and Jake slept most of the way there. On Saturday, Josh played golf with his dad and Jake and I went to lunch with some of my friends from college, Joyce, her son Noah and Amy. After lunch we walked around the mall and Jake saw a LSU football jersey and screamed until I bought it for him. :) Ha!Ha! It is a little big for him now, but should fit perfectly for football season. On Saturday afternoon, my friend Michelle and her boyfriend Preston came over to Josh's parents' house and the men boiled crawfish. It was great. Jake had his first experience with crawfish and can't wait until he can eat some. On Easter, we went to church and then went to eat at White Oak Plantation. The food was great and we had a great time visiting with family. After we ate, we were all standing around the fountain on the plantation and Chef John Folse came over to say hi and played with Jake for a minute. For those that don't know who John Folse is, go here
http://www.jfolse.com/. On Sunday afternoon, we went back to Josh's parents' house and visited with more family. We came back to Houston on Monday. Jake did ok on the trip, but got tired of sitting in his carseat. There was construction on I-10 and they had it down to one lane in some areas, so it took us a little longer than expected to get home, but that is par for the course for our trips to Baton Rouge. :) We have either been behind a wreck and/or driving through construction areas almost every time we have driven to Baton Rouge from Houston.

That is all for now! As you all know, I haven't been doing so well with blogging everyday. Sometimes I don't have any ideas to blog about, but I have some things brewing, so check back within the week! Feel free to leave comments...just click the Comments button at the end of the blog.
